Years back I read of the reputedly negative connotations associated with the number 13 in Scripture. Details are easily found by searching various webpages.
Three or more years ago I came across a website dealing with the Bible Wheel. A whole new set of insights were offered regarding the role of the number 13 in Scripture, these being antithetical to what I had previously been led to believe.
My personal opinion is that much superstition clouds the true meaning of the number 13, especially amongst Christians. I guess this post is simply saying check things out for yourself.
I'd be interested to hear the thoughts of others.

For both Hebrew and Greek (the two languages used in the original text of the Bible), each of their letters has a dual function: (1) to spell a word and (2) to be used for counting.

Thus any word in Hebrew or Greek automatically has a numerical value (termed "gematria") associated with it. Normally a word's numerical value is the sum of all numbers associated with the letters composing the word.

Now this shocking fact...

All numerical values of the words that are used in the Bible (both the original Hebrew of OT and Greek of NT) to describe satan can be divided by the number 13.

In other words, all satan's names (even phrases associated with them) contain the number 13 as a dividable element in their numerical values!
